Terri FoskerTerri Fosker LTCL LLCM

Terri studied flute from the age of ten with Lamond Clelland and Barbara Myers. After leaving school, she gained a Performers Diploma with the London College of Music and a Teachers Diploma with Trinity College London before continuing advanced studies with flautist Susan Milan.

Terri is now an established freelance flautist, saxophonist and teacher, performing regularly as a soloist and also as principal flautist of the Swindon Symphony Orchestra. She plays in several professional ensembles - the Encore Flute Quartet, Duettino Flute Duo and The Original Sax Quartet. Terri also works as a music copyist and arranger. Recent commissions have been "Flute Technique Book 2 - Sextuplets" by Susan Milan, "En Bateau" by Debussy for flute and harp and "On the Water Lily Pool" by Spain-Dunk for flute and piano.

Tim began his musical career with the Royal Welch Fusiliers Band as principal flautist, after studying for two years with Alan Melly. He was based in Berlin from 1989 - 1992, but returned to England in 1991 for a year to study with Graham Mayger (flute), Paul Harvey (saxophone) and Sarah Duller (harp) at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall. In 1993 Tim became principal flautist for the newly formed Prince of Wales's Divisional Band (Lucknow) with which he travelled extensively.

In 1996 Tim left to pursue a teaching and performing career and is now a freelance flautist, saxophonist and teacher in the Wiltshire area. As well as solo work, he plays flute and piccolo for the North Wilts Orchestra and is a member of the following professional ensembles - Encore Flute Quartet, The Original Sax Quartet and Duettino Flute Duo.

 

Tim and Terri take an active role in the local community running workshops and are also members of the Chippenham Arts Festival executive committee, co-ordinating the music programme.
 

Jennie MasonJennie Mason BA(Hons) Music ABSM ALCM

Jennie began her music studies at the age of six with the piano and went on to play the flute from the age of eleven, studying with Carole Page and gaining a Performers Diploma. She participated in numerous orchestras in the Bath area, including the County youth orchestra, before continuing her studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire under the tuition of Christopher Steward, former CBSO principal flautist. Whilst studying at the Conservatoire, she gained a Teachers Diploma and graduated in 1992 with a degree in music.

Jennie is now a peripatetic flute teacher at secondary schools in the Bath and Wiltshire area and performs regularly in local orchestras and ensembles, recently performing as a soloist with the Argyle Orchestra.

 

Dawn SalsburyDawn Salsbury

Dawn began studying the flute at the age of nine with Wendy Marks and subsequently Robin Jackson. 

Over the past 25 years Dawn has travelled extensively with Wiltshire based community ensembles, performing in a number of countries including France, Germany and Norway. She has also participated in international music festivals in Strasbourg and performed in the Royal Albert Hall in London as a finalist in the National Festival of Music for Youth.

Whilst Dawn was a part-time flute teacher for 10 years her career is now as a local government website developer.  As well as performing with the Encore Flute Quartet Dawn also performs in Fantasia Flute Ensemble, one of the largest flute choirs in the South West.
